Owned by Tony Ferrante Sr and normally driven by Jim Hendrickson, the x3 was built by Ed and Ed Jr. Ed Sr raced it at Stafford Springs and Pocono.

1981 – Stafford Springs. The X3 was normally driven by Jim Hendrickson, who was much taller than Ed. The car’s seat was in a fixed position to suit Jim. Ed was able to get his feet to the pedals by placing his own seat inside of Jim’s, thus shortening the distance from the driver to the pedals.
