Utica-Rome. Although Jerry Cook was actually a car-builder and -owner before he was old enough to drive, this was one of the first Sportsman class cars he raced. The starter is former driver Cliff Kotary, who won the NYS Fairgrounds Championship race 6 times.
1969 – Daytona Modified-Sportsman 300. Jerry Cook is in the #70, Red in the #97.
Ed’s Mills and Welch #79 is just behind Jerry Cook’s #38. This photo was taken at Malta, most probably at the 1969 All-Star race there.
