1973 – Martinsville Cardinal 500. In this race Ed drove the 2x Pinto, not the blue Vigilarolo #34 in the photo. This was the race in which Ed was passing Jerry Cook (shown here in #38) for the lead when Cook banged into him, damaging Ed’s car and possibly costing him the race, which Cook won.
