This was at the 1972 Stafford Spring Sizzler, which Ed was controlling until with 8 laps remaining the #34’s water pump broke, giving the victory to Fred DeSarro. In this image Fred is receiving the winner’s wreath while the #34 is sitting in the background on the left.
